Taloa' Hiloha features five timpani in a virtuoso concert solo, and was premiered May 7, 1997 at the Cleveland Institute of Music, performed by Alex Orfaly. Taloa' Hiloha placed third in the 2006 Percussive Arts Society Composition Contest for Unaccompanied Timpani Solo.
