November 6

Jerod's composition Sway Songs for Chorus, Piano and Percussion was selected to be part of the Essentially Choral reading session in Minneapolis. Sponsored by VocalEssence and the American Composers Forum, up to five composers are selected annually to come to Minneapolis and participate in rehearsals and a public reading of their work. The other composers in attendance were Daniel R. Barnard, Philip Blackburn, Jeff Lederer and Inessa Zaretsky.

Composer-in-Residence for the Grand Canyon Music Festival's Native American Composer Apprentice Project (NACAP).

May 14

Worth of the Soul: A Musical Tribute to American Indian Warriors for Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Chorus and Narrator premiered in Erie, PA. Commissioned by Dr. Matthew Inkster, Director of Bands for the Mercyhurst College School of Music, this hour-long work is a narrative odyssey which guides the audience through the breathtaking participation of American Indians who have defended the United States in foreign wars.
